We got back from Mexico and hit the ground running in Wichita. Such a full week of fun times with family, friends and celebrating. We started by heading to Blackwell, Oklahoma to spend a little time with my granny-the one and only Corky Bell. She stuffed us to the brim with delicious treats and even kicked our booty at a little canasta. We had an amazing time just relaxing and catching up-and can’t wait till we can get back there if she will have us:)
Then it was off to Wichita. We were fortunate enough to have dinner with Elena on Tuesday night. She made a delicious shrimp pasta and salad that we are going to have to get the recipe for sure!
The rest of our time was filled with seeing my parents, meeting new nieces and helping Luke and Tamra celebrate! We got to attend bachelor and bachelorette parties and eventually got to attend their wedding. It seemed to be the perfect ceremony for them and we are really excited to welcome Tamra and the girls to the family! Sorry you are stuck with us now:)
Even though it was a crazy week we got to see both my brothers, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and new family additions. So happy we got to be there and wouldn’t have missed it for the world!
Now I am sitting at LAX, waiting for our flight…we have had a bit of a layover…and I am thinking about a lot of things. Thinking how fortunate we both are to have such amazing people in our lives who we will miss terribly on our trip. But also thinking how excited I am to be taking off on this adventure with the love of my life and finally starting this trip we have been dreaming of since about two weeks after we met. So this is our farewell to the United States for a while and to all those people we love so much…we will be in touch but for now we are gonna go do some adventuring!
