Cabarete, Dominican Republic

We left late on Wednesday night and flew overnight to Miami, then landed in Puerto Plata around 2 in the afternoon. From there we took a cab from the airport to the Millennium Hotel in Cabarete.

After checking in we had some drinks, too many actually, on the beach. Later that evening we had our first dinner at Tropicoco, which turned out to be a not so local establishment with a strange German woman running the place.

On Friday, we spent the day relaxing at the pool, sipping drinks all day. That afternoon we walked into town and found Sandra’s – a little hole in the wall with typical Dominican food. It was delicious!!!

We spent the rest of the day at the beach. That night we walked to a local grocery store called Janet’s for supplies, aka snacks.
